Wondrous Iceland
Travel Seminar with Ekaterina Samoilova and Anton Yulikov
July 6th - July 14th, 2024
(9 days / 8 nights)
Iceland is an island of volcanic origin, a remarkable and unique natural powerhouse. It boasts clean energy, hot mineral springs, waterfalls, glaciers, lava fields, and volcanoes. It's the birthplace of the term "geyser" and a land of astonishing beauty.
This is a unique opportunity to delve deep within oneself and reach new levels alongside the powerful energy of the land, guided by Ekaterina Samoilova through meditation.
We'll witness the incredible wonders of nature—processes that ceased millions of years ago in other parts of the world but continue in Iceland. With 180 volcanoes, 32 of them active, and the earth's crust thickness in some places measuring only a few kilometers, it's no wonder Iceland leads the world in the number of hot springs per square kilometer. For some participants, this unique place will serve as a site to activate soul memories from a distant past.
This tour offers more than just an in-depth exploration of Iceland, its nature, culture, and energy. It also provides the opportunity to learn photography from a renowned photographic artist and mentor, Anton Yulikov. It's a unique chance to gain skills from a professional photographer and receive beautiful, professional photographs from the journey.

    Day 2
    West Iceland, Snæfellsnes Peninsula.

After breakfast, we depart from Reykjavik, passing through the tunnel under the Whale Fjord into the region of West Iceland and further north towards the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, which translates to "Snow Mountain Peninsula" in Icelandic. Along the way, we'll encounter numerous natural wonders such as waterfalls, lava fields, and volcanic craters. The peninsula is considered one of the most beautiful and mysterious places on the island, with a special energy that has attracted psychics and sensitives on pilgrimages. Renowned writer Jules Verne sent his characters here, journeying to the center of the Earth from a cave at the foot of the mysterious glacier. We'll make a stop at the Atlantic Ocean coast in the town of Arnarstapi, known for its picturesque cliffs where the shore is covered with basalt pebbles and remnants of shipwrecks. Overnight stay in Reykjavik.

    Hotel Grandi 4*.
  • July 8th
    Day 3
    "The Golden Circle".

Early morning checkout from the hotel as we embark on the Golden Circle route in Iceland, the most popular route as it encompasses most of the major attractions. On this day, we will visit the Haukadalur Geothermal Valley, where the famous Geysir is located, giving its name to this remarkable natural phenomenon. In this valley, there are about 20 small geysers, several hot springs, and colorful mud pools. We will witness the Strokkur geyser erupting hot water columns approximately 20-30 meters high every 5-7 minutes, as well as the Gullfoss waterfall, which translates to "Golden Falls." It consists of two cascades - 21 meters and 11 meters in height, facing each other at a 90° angle.
Relaxation in the Fontana hot spring.
    Dinner in a tomato greenhouse.

Overnight stay at Hill Hotel 3*.
  • July 9th
    Day 4
    Trekking and mountains.

Part of the day will be spent trekking through the mountains, enjoying the beauty of nature and mountain landscapes, while the second half of the day awaits us with an equally inspiring location — Fossmork, the "Land of the Gods". Time for meditation. In the evening, bathing in hot springs and a visit to the SPA, Secret Lagoon.
Excursion to the Þórsmörk National Park - "Land of the Gods"
Þórsmörk National Park, also known as "Thór's Valley" by Icelanders, is one of the most attractive destinations accessible by bus or powerful off-road vehicle. The "Land of the Gods" or "Thór's Valley" as it's called, entices travelers with its astonishing untouched natural landscapes. Large lichen-covered boulders rise above the land surface, surrounded by majestic mountain slopes, glaciers, and volcanoes. From the mountain trails, panoramic views of vibrant, lush green valleys and volcanic fields with winding roads unfold.
The main treasure of Þórsmörk Park is Þór´s Wood, one of the most famous forests in Iceland. Low Icelandic birches cover the valley in the southern highlands of Iceland, located between the rivers Krossá, Þröng, and Markarfljót. Rare dense forests for Iceland grow in the shade of ancient glaciers Eyjafjallajökull, Tindfjallajökull, and Mýrdalsjökull.
You can appreciate the incredible, breathtaking dynamics of one of Iceland's top tourist destinations regardless of the season. However, experienced tourists recommend choosing the "Icelandic summer" — from April to mid-September. During this time, Þórsmörk Valley typically enjoys consistently good weather.
A jeep ride will be an ideal way to see and capture the diverse nature of Þórsmörk Park. The route to the national park not only follows a smooth path but also traverses quite extreme roads, where drivers have to overcome rocky terrain and ford rivers.
Fiery volcanoes, snow-capped peaks, colorful mountains, and green forests of Þórsmörk Park await you!

Overnight stay at the mountain hotel "Hill Hotel" 3*.
  • July 10th
    Day 5
Eyjafjallajokull Volcano, Glaciers, and the Black Beach of Vik.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Southeast Iceland. Southern Iceland is known for its blooming fields, coastlines of black sands, and old fishing villages. On this day, we will see the main attraction of the region — the famous Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajokull, which erupted in 2010, and one of the most beautiful waterfalls on the island, Skogafoss, where we can walk beneath the rainbow! The waterfall reaches a height of 60 meters, which is equivalent to a 20-story building. We will also take a stroll near the Seljalandsfoss waterfall and its two smaller neighboring falls. This waterfall is unique in Iceland — you can walk behind its water stream and stay almost dry! Additionally, we will see Iceland's glaciers Mirdalsjokull and Eyafjallajokull, picturesque farmlands with lush grass where sheep and Icelandic horses graze.
We will walk along the black beach of Vik, listening to the sound of the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, and observe the basalt columns and rock formations known as "Reynisdrangar." This is one of Iceland's iconic landmarks, and the pebbles and black volcanic sand collected on the beach have become the most popular souvenirs.
    Overnight stay in Southeast Iceland.

    Hotel Kleifurstadir 4*.
  • July 11th
    Day 6
    Lava Fields and Ice Lagoon.

In the first half of the day, we will explore the lava fields formed after volcanic eruptions, covered with thick moss that feels like Persian carpets to the touch! After lunch, we will visit the Ice Lagoon, take a boat ride, and witness the incredible Svinafellsjokull Glacier. For those interested, helicopter tours over the glacier are available for an additional fee.

Overnight stay in Kirkjubaejarklaustur, hotel 3*.
  • July 12th
    Day 7
    Highlands of Landmannalaugar.

On this day, we venture into the highlands via the mountain pass of Fjallabak, circling around the Mirdalsjokull Glacier, one of Iceland's most stunning locations. We'll also explore the Valley of Volcanoes, hot springs, mountains, and glaciers.
The colorful mountains of Landmannalaugar grace almost every tourist brochure, yet the beauty of the rhyolite mountains, white steam jets, snowfields nestled in folds of the mountains, and frozen lava streams still captivates every visitor. After lunch, we'll enjoy a short hike in the mountains and bathe in hot springs.
In the evening, we return to Reykjavik.

Overnight stay in Reykjavik, Hotel Grandi 4*.
  • July 13th
    Day 8
Whale Watching, Reykjavik City Tour, and Elf School.

After breakfast, we head towards the ocean to meet the whales. The chance of spotting whales in this area is very high, although not guaranteed. We'll do everything possible and bring Luck along with us!
Afterwards, we return to Reykjavik for a city sightseeing tour, exploring the old town, visiting the main cathedral, the National Museum, and the Elf School. In the evening, we'll dine at one of Reykjavik's finest restaurants to celebrate the end of our journey.

Overnight stay in Reykjavik, Hotel Grandi 4*.
Reykjavik is the political, cultural, industrial, and commercial center of the country. All of Reykjavik's attractions are located within the city: Höfði House, where the 1986 Reykjavik Summit took place, a historic meeting between the presidents of two superpowers, M. Gorbachev and R. Reagan, where an agreement was signed that effectively ended the Cold War; Perlan - Reykjavik's Pearl, shaped like a daisy flower, and perhaps the most unusual power plant in the world; Hallgrímskirkja, Reykjavik's main cathedral, distinguished by its modern, basalt-like design, created as if from basalt; and the old city center.
